“Cebu-Fujian Business & Tourism Cooperation Seminar”

During the CIFIT, “Fujian-Cebu Business & Tourism Cooperation Seminar”, sponsored by CCPIT Xiamen and Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Philippines, was successfully held, organized by COIC Xiamen and Xiamen Tyko Group Co., Ltd.. At the seminar, Xiamen Chamber of International Commerce and Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a framework agreement for the establishment of a friendship association. Xiamen Tyko and FPN Tyko International Co., Ltd. And Cultural Industry and Tourism Academy of Xiamen University of Technology signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement.

The reporter noted that the successful signing of the seminar is a vivid example of CIFIT as an important window for China to “bring in” and “go global”. With the accelerated implementation of “the Belt and Road” Initiative and the continuous advancement of the core area of Fujian “Maritime Silk Road”, the friendly and pragmatic cooperation between Fujian and Cebu has benefited the people of the two places and yielded fruitful results. As one of the contracting parties, Chen Tuanzong, Chairman of Xiamen Tyko Group Co., Ltd., introduced the experience of investment in the Philippines to the reporter. They creatively proposed the "1+1+N" New Internationalized Enterprise Cooperation Mode, and promoted multilateral two-way investment by building an international platform, attracting more enterprises to join "1+1+N" cooperation platform of Tyko Group.

“1+1+N” Mode derives from Chinese Moral Sutra

Xiamen Tyko Group entered the Philippine market initiated from the “government matching”. “The entry of Chinese enterprises into the Philippines is in essence a continuation of the economy is complementarities between China and the Philippines.” Chen Tuanzong presented, Tyko and Ng Khai Development Corporation got to know each other and established the cooperative relationship in an exchange activity held by the government organizations of China and the Philippines, and they established mutual trust from the trade exchanges between China and the Philippines. Eventually, Tyko and Ng Khai were converted into strategic partners and formed a joint venture FPN-Tyko International Co., Ltd., which is deeply rooted in the Philippines' domestic market. 

“In the process of FPN-Tyko development, we have explored a mode suitable for cooperation and development between Chinese and the Philippine enterprises.” Chen Tuanzong told the reporter, they opened up FPN-Tyko as a platform. “We have cooperated & established a Call-center with our US partner and a language training school with our Japanese partner, which is called ‘1+1+N’ New Internationalized Enterprise Cooperation Mode.” According to introduction, the theoretical basis of this mode derives from the extensive and profound traditional Chinese culture——the classic expression of moral sutra, “One is the child of the divine law. After one come two, after two come three, after three come all things”.  Chen Tuanzong said, in practice, they have built a multinational international team and built an enterprise internationalized cooperation platform, so as to find more partners, and create unlimited business opportunities and possibilities.

Promote the Two-way Cooperation between China and the Philippines in "Bring in" and "Go global"

"Our joint venture with Tyko Group in the Philippines, FPN-Tyko International Co.,Ltd., is developing rapidly and will soon surpass our joint venture with Japan in less than two years." Wilson, Chairman of NgKhai, said that they really needed this open "1+1+N" New Internationalized Enterprise Cooperation Mode, "this is a very good cooperation mode that we will advocate and adhere to in the future."

They hope to take advantage of this innovative cooperation mode, in response to the national “bring in” and “go global” strategy, to introduce more Philippine enterprises to the Chinese market and lead more Chinese enterprises to the Philippines.
