On the morning of April 20, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Tonga, Hon. Semisi Sika, and his team, accompanied by Lin Na, Associate Counselor of Xiamen Overseas Chinese Office,

The Kingdom of Tonga, an archipelago country located in the south Pacific Ocean, faces New Zealand across the sea in the south and Fiji in the west, with rich marine resources and beautiful scenery.

As Tonga is on the west side of the international time zone change line, it is one of the first countries in the world to meet the sun every day.

Tonga is also one of the few countries in the world to experience swimming with whales.

In April 2019, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Tonga, Hon. Semisi Sika, and his team visited Xiamen, during which they visited Xiamen Tyko Group. On the morning of April 20, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Tonga, Hon. Semisi Sika, and his team, accompanied by Lin Na, Associate Counselor of Xiamen Overseas Chinese Office, Qiao Li, First Secretary of US Department of Foreign Affairs, and Cai Chaochao, Deputy Director of the Department of American Affairs of Xiamen Overseas Chinese Office, visited Tyko Group. The Chairman of the company, Chen Tuanzong, received them personally, and Sun Zhenling, Vice Chairman, Wang Zhihuang, General Manager of Overseas Business Department, Lin Wendong, Deputy General Manager of Investment and Development Department, and Ke Maosong accompanied the reception.

First of all, under the guidance of Deputy General Manager, Ke Maosong, the Deputy Prime Minister of Tonga, Hon. Semisi Sika and his team visited the Design and Development Department of Tyko Group. Hon. Sika listened carefully to Deputy General Manager Ke's introduction to the Group's business case and said that Tyko Group would find many suitable investment opportunities in Tonga.

After that, Deputy Prime Minister of Tonga and his team held a symposium with Xiamen Tyko Group in the conference room.

Chairman Chen Tuanzong first delivered a welcome speech on behalf of Tyko Group and expressed his warm welcome to the visit of Hon. Semisi Sika and his team. He is greatly impressed by her vast sea area, beautiful incredible natural scenery and her friendly citizens in Tonga. It’s indeed the pearl of the South Pacific and he believes that the future of this "Pearl of the South Pacific" is full of great possibilities. We hope to keep expanding further exchanges and cooperation with Tonga’s enterprises, and seek deeper investment cooperation with the Kingdom of Tonga in areas such as tourism development.

Deputy Prime Minister of Tonga, Hon. Semisi Sika, also expressed his gratitude to the Tyko Group for their meticulous organization. He introduced Tonga's abundant natural resources such as fishery and tourism, as well as the investment opportunities currently vigorously developing infrastructure construction. At the same time, he expressed appreciation for the deep cooperation between Tyko Group and Tonga’s enterprises, and invited Tyko Group to visit and invest in Tonga.

In order to deepen the further understanding of Tyko Group and its business in Tonga by the Deputy Prime Minister of Tonga and his team, Mr. Lin Wendong, Deputy General Manager of Investment and Development Department of Tyko Group, introduced the overview of Tyko Group, as well as the tourism development and bilateral trade and investment cooperation between Tyko and Tonga’s enterprises in building home stay, apartments, hotel resorts and supermarket warehouses.

Tyko also prepared the special souvenir, paper-cut painting with Chinese good meaning, hoping to send the four good Chinese wishes, "Fu", "Lu", "Shou" and "Xi" to the distinguished guests coming from afar.

After the discussion, Hon. Semisi Sika, Deputy Prime Minister, had further exchanges and discussions with Chairman Chen Tuanzong. Hon. Semisi Sika said that he was no stranger to Tyko Group. As early as the end of 2018, Mr. Wang Zhihuang, General Manager of Overseas Business Department of Tyko Group, and Mr. Wu Lizhong, Director of Shinejoy factory, had traveled to Tonga for business cooperation with local enterprises and received a cordial reception from Hon. Semisi Sika, Deputy Prime Minister of Tonga.

After the event, the two sides had lunch at Xinglin Bay. Finally, the visit to Tyko Group ended with laughter and blessings from both sides.
